Welcome to Infinite Fiction fellow writers. This FAQ has been designed to help you learn how to properly use a forum like this.
How do I register onto the forum? This is quite simple. All you do have to do is go to the top of the forum where it says Home, Help, Search, Login, and Register. Click on Register and fill out the form provided. Be sure to use a password that you'll remember but won't be easy for someone else to figure out. Also use your real name as your username or something close to it like I would use Candy or Addict. Then agree to the Terms Of Service and click on create account.
A new page will come up with username and password boxes. Fill out the username with the name you created and the password as well then click log in.
What is the Terms Of Service you mentioned previously? I'm pretty sure that some of you either will read or have read the Terms Of Service while others might have just clicked on I agree and created your account. The Terms Of Service are the written rules that the creators of Proboards have set for all members of Proboards. The best way to completely understand these terms is to actually read them.

I've joined the forum now what do I do? This is quite simple. Just finish reading this FAQ, and then read the rules. Once you've done that, you should head to the Getting Started board, and take care of everything there. You'll see quite a few threads with things you need to fill out for us.
How do I get my own category? That's quite simple actually. Go to the Getting Started Board, and click into the thread Getting Your Own Category, and fill out the page accordingly. Once you've done that, a staff member will create your category, and you'll be ready to share your work.
How do I get a banner at the top of my story? First off, make one, or request one from one of us, and then once you've done that, PM Addict and give her the URL to the banner along with the name of the story it is for, then she'll do the rest!
How do I add a picture to a board? Now this question is quite simple. If you have the capabilities of scanning a picture or uploading from a camera to the computer than I'm guessing you already know how to do that. If you don't then there isn't much I can tell you other than to find a way of doing one of those things. For those of you that can however its crucial that you save them to a place on your computer that you'll remember and that you can access easily. Some of you might know that various files, photos and things like that can be saved in various forms. Like .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc. For photos I would suggest the .PNG option since that gives you the best quality shot.
After you've saved your pictures to your computer you're probably wondering how you're going to get them from there and onto the forum. Well that is something you need to pay close attention to. The best way for you get your pictures onto here is by uploading them to an image uploader which then allows you to put the photos onto this forum. Now the best one that I would suggest would be www.tinypic.com and yes I want you to actually click on that link. Now you should get a new page with all these various things on it.
Off to the right you'll see boxes with the heading Upload Images and Videos. Where it says file you'll select browse... next to that empty box and locate the picture you want to upload from the file you saved it to previously. Once you've found this photo you'll click on open and it fills up that empty box. Next you want to move your mouse down to the button that says Upload Now and click on it. Once you've done that a new page will come up with all kinds of links and even your picture off to the right. Now you'll look for the link with the title IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards. You'll click on the link below that title and go back to the page for where you want the picture to be.
Next you want to start a new thread within the board you're so wishing to place this picture in, and continue on from there!
Can people other than members join this forum? The most simple answer I can give for this is no. I've made this forum so that everything we post is safe from anyone that isn't within our family. Guests, those who aren't members of the forum like you and me, aren't able to see much more than the first category. All of your work is completely protected. I've also put in various codes to keep guests away as well.
How do I contact the adminstrator, Addict or Fluffy? If for any reason you need to contact us for more explanation to this forum or even so that you can just talk to us there are quite a few ways that you can go about this.
